Who We Are and Who Runs Your Coach
We are a booking service for group travel in Britain. We arrange coach, minibus and chauffeur car hire with a driver, and a licensed, insured partner operator supplies the vehicle and runs the trip.
Two jobs, split cleanly
Our side: take your request, find a partner operator with the right vehicle free on your date, get the trip quoted, confirm the booking and pass on any changes.
The operator's side: supply and maintain the vehicle, employ the driver, insure the trip, plan the driving within the legal hours and keep the tachograph records. On the road, the driver works to the operator on safety, route and rest breaks. Times, addresses and numbers reach the operator through us.
The licence every partner holds
Once a hired vehicle carries nine passengers or more, the law treats it as a public service vehicle. Its operator must hold a PSV operator licence from the Traffic Commissioner and show the licence disc where it can be read from outside. Cars with eight or fewer passenger seats come under private hire licensing instead: the council, TfL in London, or the local licensing authority in Scotland. Every partner also carries the insurance UK law requires.
Drivers need the right entitlement too. A full-size or midi coach calls for category D. D1 is enough for a minibus up to 8 m long seating 16 passengers or fewer. Drivers whose main job is driving also need a Driver CPC, renewed with 35 hours of training every five years.
Things we leave out
No vehicle on this site belongs to us, and no driver is on our payroll. There is no rate card, because every trip is priced for its own date, hours, distance and vehicle. We sell no single seats on scheduled coaches or tours; your group has the vehicle to itself.
Where the planning notes come from
Every coach rule quoted on this site traces back to a public source: GOV.UK and DVSA guidance, TfL, the councils that manage each city's kerbside, and the airports, ports and venues. Distances are road miles and, like drive times, approximate. Oxford began a traffic filter trial in late September 2026, Edinburgh is drawing up a coach plan, and Welsh highway authorities are returning some 20 mph roads to 30 mph. Where one of these could change your day, mention it with your request and we will ask the operator to confirm it while pricing.
Questions
Are you a coach company?
No. We book the trip; the partner operator runs it and employs the driver.
Why is there no price on the site?
The operator prices each trip for its own day and distance, so the figure only exists once your quote does.
Can you book outside the twenty cities listed?
Yes. Twenty cities have planning notes here, but we can put a trip from any British town to an operator.
Tell us about the trip
A headcount, a date and a list of places is all we need to begin. Once an operator has costed the trip, the decision on its quote is yours.
