Coach Hire with a Driver for Groups Across Great Britain
Give us the headcount, the date and every stop. We book a coach and driver from a licensed, insured partner operator, and you get back a single quote that covers the whole trip.
We book the coach. An operator runs it.
This is a booking service. We arrange coaches, midi coaches, minibuses and chauffeur-driven cars, and each one comes with a driver. The vehicle and the driver both belong to a partner operator, not to us. That operator runs the trip on the day.
Every partner is licensed and insured. Anything carrying nine or more passengers needs a PSV operator licence issued by a Traffic Commissioner. Smaller cars run under private hire licensing from the local council, or from TfL in London. Each also carries the insurance UK law requires.

Big coach first, smaller vehicle if it suits
Full-size coaches of 49 to 57 seats, with luggage lockers underneath, come first here, then midi coaches of 29 to 35 seats. If the party is 16 or fewer, a minibus is usually the sensible choice. Size also decides where you can go: York's walled centre is closed to anything above 16 seats, and large coaches cannot reach Edinburgh Castle by Johnston Terrace, so groups get off on Castle Terrace.
The rules that shape a coach day
Clean air zones. In London, a coach that misses the Low Emission Zone's Euro VI standard pays a daily charge. Birmingham, Bristol, Bath, Sheffield and Newcastle with Gateshead run charging Clean Air Zones. Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen run Low Emission Zones that cannot be paid to enter at all. The operator checks the vehicle against every zone on your route before it quotes.
Stopping. Oxford city centre has set-down bays but nowhere for a coach to park. Edinburgh gives coaches 30 minutes on Castle Terrace. Newcastle allows 15 minutes at the Pilgrim Street bays. Give us every set-down point so the operator can plan where the coach waits.
Tolls and crossings. The Dartford Crossing, the Tyne Tunnel and the Mersey Gateway bridge have no toll booths; each is settled by the end of the day after crossing. Coaches heading under the Mersey to the Wirral take the Kingsway tunnel; the Queensway tunnel has a 3.5-tonne limit.
Long days and drivers' hours
Inside the UK, a private hire coach trip runs under the assimilated drivers' hours rules. A driver's daily limit is 9 hours behind the wheel, rising to 10 on no more than two days a week, and 4.5 hours of driving must be followed by a 45-minute break. Take Inverness to Skye and back: roughly 220 miles, or some five and a half hours at the wheel, stops not included. Days like that may need a second driver or a night away. Your quote will say which.
No price list on this site
Each trip is priced on its own. Four things set the figure: the day of travel, how long the coach is out, the miles it covers and which vehicle it is. You get one quote per trip. The cancellation terms are written on it; they vary by operator and vehicle. Nothing is taken from you until you accept.
