Bristol Airport coach transfers: booking the Bus & Coach Park
Bristol Airport wants every coach booked in before it arrives. The Bus & Coach Park in the Transport Interchange runs on pre-booked slots, and a vehicle without one may be refused access.
Book the slot first
The Bus & Coach Park is for vehicles with more than 16 seats. The operator books a slot online; the barrier opens for a booked vehicle, and it parks in its allocated bay. The stay is 30 minutes at most, and overstaying brings a fixed parking charge.
Thirty minutes is for loading, not waiting. The coach should come in once the flight is down and the group is on its way out.

Meeting in the Transport Interchange
From the terminal, groups follow the Bus and Coach signs. The Transport Interchange has somewhere to sit, toilets and flight information on screens, so it makes a sensible gathering point for the leader to count heads while the driver brings the coach round.
If the group arrives on two flights, gather everyone in the Interchange first, so that one booked slot covers a single loading.
Where the driver meets you
- Vehicles of more than 16 seats drop off and pick up in the Bus & Coach Park in the Transport Interchange; groups follow the Bus and Coach signs from the terminal.
Where coaches wait
- Slots in the Bus & Coach Park must be booked online in advance; the entry barrier opens automatically for a booked vehicle, which parks in its allocated bay. Coaches may stay no more than 30 minutes, and operators without a pre-booked permit may be refused access. The Transport Interchange has seating, toilets and live flight information.
Drive to the city centre
- about 9 miles by road to Bristol Temple Meads station, about 20-25 min in light traffic; longer at peak times
Minibuses and tall vehicles
Up to 16 seats, or taller than 2.5 m? Then the vehicle belongs in the Minibus/Over Height car park, a short walk from the terminal, paid on the way out and limited to one hour. The general drop-off and pick-up area is capped at 2.5 m, so a high-roof minibus cannot go there.
Into Bristol and the Clean Air Zone
From the airport to Temple Meads is about 9 miles; allow 20 to 25 minutes off-peak. In the centre, a small Class D Clean Air Zone applies: coaches must meet Euro VI, diesel minibuses Euro 6 and petrol Euro 4, or pay a daily charge on GOV.UK.
Coach set-down points include Bond Street South and Colston Street; longer parking is at places such as Cumberland Road and Canon's Road.
Clifton, Bath and South Wales
Coaches cannot cross the Clifton Suspension Bridge; groups set down on Observatory Road in Clifton instead. Bath is about 13 miles from Bristol. For Cardiff, neither Severn crossing has charged a toll since December 2018.
