Coach Hire for The Championships, Wimbledon
Wimbledon fortnight in 2027 falls between 28 June and 11 July, at the All England Club grounds on Church Road. The club publishes no rules for coaches, so the drop-off plan has to be confirmed before the day.
The gap in the published rules
Wimbledon sets out arrangements for taxis, private hire cars, its park and ride and the accessibility drop-off. It says nothing about coaches. When you book, the operator confirms where the coach can set down and where it goes while the group is inside. Treat what is published as the current arrangement, and check again nearer the fortnight.
One workable fallback is to set down near a station. From Southfields station, on the District line, the Grounds are roughly a 15-minute walk. London's kerb rules apply: on red routes, a bus-registered vehicle can set down at a bus stop but not wait there, and on yellow lines it may stop only while people get on or off.
Small groups and access needs
Eight or fewer can travel in a pre-booked private hire car, which uses the designated drop-off and pick-up points on the Wimbledon walking map. Pre-booked taxis collecting from the Grounds use a point on Marryat Road.
The drop-off for guests with access needs has moved: in 2027 it is Car Park 6. Tell us about any access needs when you book, so the vehicle and the drop-off are arranged together.

London vehicle rules
Wimbledon is inside Greater London. Coaches fall under the Low Emission Zone and need Euro VI; a minibus up to 5 tonnes falls under the ULEZ instead. A pick-up from a central hotel on a weekday crosses the Congestion Charge zone, where vehicles with 9 or more seats are fully discounted.

Can a coach park near the Grounds?
Wimbledon publishes no coach parking rules. Do not assume a space. The operator confirms the arrangement before the booking is final.
How do we avoid losing people at the end of the day?
Fix one meeting point and one time, and give every group member both in writing. Nothing may stay overnight, and the official car parks lock up within the hour after the Grounds do.
When can we book a car park for 2027?
Reservations open in the spring. If some of the party are driving themselves, book as soon as they do.
